Hi, I’m Neethi Saravan Seshadri. I am a Human Rights and Development Professional, and I also write sometimes.
Professional Work:
- I currently lead Chaithanya India, where I work at the intersection of human rights and development to address systemic inequalities and discrimination. Through the organization, I design and implement targeted programmes that directly confront these challenges and create sustainable impact on the ground.
- I have worked with organizations such as Oxfam India and ChildFund India on initiatives related to disaster risk reduction, leadership, and entrepreneurship, with a strong focus on women and marginalized communities. Additionally, I work with the RainForest Alliance to advance regenerative agricultural practices and sustainability standards across social, economic, and environmental pillars within farms and businesses.
- I have also worked in the Jhadol block and lived in Panarwa, a beautiful village amidst forests in the scenic district of Udaipur, India as a SBI Youth for India fellow. I assessed and proposed strategies to strengthen collaboration between community federations and local governance systems, alongside leading capacity-building initiatives for grassroots leaders. Additionally, I piloted a project aimed at establishing market value supply chains for untapped non-timber forest produce.
Personal stuff:
- I run The Perspective Matrix, a space for mental health awareness and a space for people to express themselves freely. Sign up for it if it interests you!
- Also, I occassionally write about life. Here’s my recent works:
